Who:

As this is our first annual Half Century Society ceremony, we will be inducting alumni from the Classes of 1947 – 1967 who are celebrating 50 or more years since graduation.

What:

Classes of 1947-1967 Alumni will be inducted into a Half Century Society.  Dinner will be served at the ceremony where each nurse will be recognized and inducted.

When:

Thursday, November 2, 2017

3-4 p.m. Tour of the College of Nursing Building *Optional event

4 p.m. Faces of Nursing Unveiling *Optional event: A mural of Florence Nightingale comprised of a photomosaic of alumni, nurses, and nurse supporters of the College of Nursing

5 p.m. Distinguished Alumni and Young Alumni Award Presentation *Optional event

6:30 p.m. Social

7 p.m. Ceremony/Induction

   Dinner will be served

Where:

University Guest House, Douglas Ballroom

Fee:

Each inductee plus one guest are invited to attend free of charge. All other guests may attend by purchasing a ticket ($25 each) for the evening.

Purpose:

The College of Nursing Half Century Society strives to cultivate the bond amongst members of the Society and to encourage engagement with the University of Utah College of Nursing. Members are inducted into the Half Century Society at their 50-Year Celebration held each year during Alumni Weekend. As a member of this Society, you will be invited to an annual luncheon each Spring and to attend the induction ceremony every Fall.

Optional Lodging Accommodations:

If you will be joining us and are in need of lodging accommodations, the University Guest House has a block of rooms (only king deluxe rooms available) held for you at their special rate of $120/night. Please contact the University Guest House 801-587-1000 and mention you’re with the “College of Nursing Half Century Society.”

This event will be in conjunction with our Alumni Weekend. The events listed above as “*Optional event” are wonderful events you too might be interested in joining with us. These events are free.
