NRP Advanced (8th Edition)

Cost: $100  + separate certification fee of $55

Audience: NRP advanced is appropriate for those who attend births and are responsible for anticipated resuscitation of a newborn with known risk factors, and for those who participate in neonatal resuscitation beyond positive-pressure ventilation, including physicians, nurses, advanced practice nurses, nurse midwives, licensed midwives, respiratory care practitioners, and other health care professionals who provide direct care during neonatal resuscitation.

Certification: Yes, certification expires every two years 

Course Description: The NRP Provider Course introduces the concepts and basic skills of neonatal resuscitation. NRP Advanced covers lessons 1 through 11 of the textbook and uses simulation and debriefing to practice hands-on resuscitation skills with instructor assistance.  

• Part 1 (pre-course work):  Participants must complete about 4 hours of online course work at least 24 hours before the in-person class date and purchase a separate certification fee of $55. Pre-course work instructions and course materials will be sent once a participant registers for the course. 
• Part 2: Instructor-led, in-person course 

• Part 3 (post-course work): None, certificate is generated at the end of the instructor-led event.
