Course Description: OR Boot Camp is an introductory course to aseptic practice and sterile technique in a perioperative setting. Participants will practice several skills including sterile gloving and gowning, aseptic technique when opening supplies, proper passing of supplies, and cesarean section and bilateral tubal ligation prepping. Participants will also learn basic OR behavior and tools to advocate for patients during the perioperative setting.
*Part 1: Instructor-led in-person class with hands-on skills practice. Participants will take a quiz during class and must pass with a score of 80% or higher to receive CE credits. No pre- or post-work is required for this course.
