The Association for Continuing Dental Education (ACDE), along with 35 of its member schools, is jointly providing a series of live webinars.

This series features university-based key opinion leaders presenting numerous topics on multiple dates and times. Presentations are available to meet every dental professional’s schedule and interests.

Course Description: 

This course will focus on providing the practicing dentist with the knowledge and skills needed to diagnose and manage common oral diseases. Participants will learn what to look for in identifying common oral lesions, how to develop differential diagnoses for unusual oral lesions, how to communicate with the patient about oral pathology, and how to work with their oral pathology specialist.

 

At the conclusion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Identify and diagnose common oral lesions.
  • Develop a differential diagnosis for unusual oral lesions.
  • Recommend appropriate treatment and management plans for patients with oral lesions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals about oral lesions.

This is a two-step registration process:

Although each lecture in this series is hosted by a different school, your registration will be through The University of Utah School of Dentistry. We will document your attendance, provide your CE credits, and be available if you have questions. 

 




Guest Speaker:

Daria Vasilyeva, DDS, MA

Dr. Daria Vasilyeva is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial pathologist and full-time assistant professor at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Daria completed residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University and advanced fellowship in Oral Medicine at The Metro Health System/Case Western Reserve University. Daria is a member of the oral biopsy service and participates in the clinical oral medicine and oral pathology service at Columbia University. My principal research interests are collaborative practices in education and healthcare and digital pathology in research and diagnosis.
