Discusses the method of assessing patients' traumatic injuries and reviews the cardiovascular system such that a student will be able to care for a patient internal and external bleeding, shock (hypoperfusion), and the emergency medical care of shock (hypoperfusion). This lecture continues with information focused on bleeding and shock, discussing the management of soft tissue injuries including techniques of dressing and bandaging wounds. Injuries to the spine and head, including mechanism of injury, signs and symptoms of injury, assessment and management are also addressed.
