Preparatory Division

Student's receive lessons year round.  Two 15-week semesters for Fall and Spring.  Summer is a 10-week session.

This book has examples of the technic that is used in the Preparatory Division.

Beginning piano group classes provides a fundamental background in rhythm awareness, ear training, basic reading skills and performance basics once a week. Children receive two semesters of weekly 30-minute private lessons and 45-minute group classes, which provides enjoyable and effective learning of keyboard and musicianship skills.

If you have always wanted to play the piano, this class offers a supportive group in a non-threatening atmosphere.  Class is offered on Thursday at 6:15 pm.

All Students must audition with the String Coordinator before registering. Each year students receive private lessons for two 15-week semesters. They also attend monthly group musicianship classes during fall and spring semesters. Attendance at monthly group class is required. Private lessons are scheduled with the teacher. The group lesson is determined by age and ability of the student. Summer is a 10-week session.

Summer session is May 13, 2024 through August 18, 2024.

Summer session is 10 weeks.  Please sign up for 10 lessons unless  otherwise instructed by your private teacher. All Preparatory Division students must take at least 5summer lessons to continue in the program.
