American Heart Association’s (AHA) BLS Certification sponsored by the Recreational Therapy Student Association (RTSA)
This BLS course contains TWO parts, and both must be completed prior to obtaining certification. This will require two separate registrations/payments as described below. Please read the information below carefully.
Part 1: Online Portion
Prior to taking the in-person BLS Skills Course, you must have completed the BLS modules on the AHA web page. You will need to register and pay on the American Heart Association’s website directly.

Important Note: The online portion needs to be completed prior to the skills class and the certificate of completion should be printed and brought to the class.
Part 2: In-Person BLS Skills Course
This is an in-person, hands-on, skills training. Coupled with the online portion will result in BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
