The challenges of clinical preceptorship and teaching can be significant, particularly when preceptors/teachers and students lack "chemistry" with one another. Learning styles theory provides a unique insight into the nature of teacher-student relationships and provides a mechanism for analyzing difficult situations to identify opportunities for improvement. In this interactive workshop, we will review principles of learning styles theory and apply key findings to enhance the quality and value of clinical education.
