40-Hour HAZWOPER Training

Price: $705.00

The OSHA 1910.120 Standard was promulgated in
response to a requirement of the Superfund Amendments
and Reauthorization Act (SARA) of 1986. The
Standard, also known as "HAZWOPER", also applies
to the following hazardous waste operations:

  • Government-required clean-up operations
    at hazardous waste sites
  • Voluntary clean-up at uncontrolled
    hazardous waste sites
  • Emergency response operations involving
    substances
  • Operations at RCRA Treatment, Storage
    and hazardous Disposal Facilities (TSDF)
  • RCRA Correction Action sites

As the foundation for HAZWOPER certification,
OSHA requires attendance at a 24- or 40-hour
course (or equivalent professional experience). The
40-hour HAZWOPER is designed for those workers
who regularly engage in hazardous waste operations.
In addition, certain individuals must receive
an annual "refresher" training of 8 hours. The RMCOEH
40-hour 1910.120 course meets the requirements
for site workers and TSDF workers as specified
in 29 CFR 1910.120(e) and (p).
