Dr. Hasse Borup, Director

An intense five-day workshop designed for pre-college and college students, the Utah Chamber Music Summer Workshop is an ideal way to help up-and-coming artists explore and refine their chamber music skills. Admitted students will work extensively with prominent members of the University of Utah School of Music string and piano faculty on assigned chamber music work and will perform in stunning Libby Gardner Concert Hall.

Participants will be trained by renowned faculty in sessions designed to explore new and unique angles to musicianship and performance, such as improvisation, music and movement, and more.

A typical daily schedule will include two coachings, one rehearsal, one aforementioned group session, and an evening performance. Preformed groups and individuals between the ages of 13 and 26 are welcomed to apply. Individual participants will be placed in groups by audition.

The Utah Chamber Music Workshop is a new and unique opportunity for young artists to improve their musicianship in a professional setting and be coached by some of Utah's premiere musicians.

The Unviersity of Utah Chamber Music Workshop is an audition based program. The program director reserves the right to only admit students who meet the requirements and experience for successful participation in the program.
