Help an ECS Brother or Sister Out! Many of you who are or were ECS students know how hard it is to land those coveted teaching- and research-assistant positions. The tuition waiver means, for many, the difference between attending or bypassing graduate school. ECS is initiating a campaign to generate funds for what we are calling the ECS Alum Line teaching assistantship. This assistantship would be funded by you, our alumni. It will take a few years to generate the resources needed to fund a student. However, the small contribution of many can build magnificent things. Giving is easy. Our goal is to raise $50,000 over the next three years. Once the goal is reached, we will convene a group of alums to select the first ECS recipient to receive this important support provided by you. So, who is going to help a future ECS-er out?
