International Student and Scholar Services
International Student & Scholar Services scholarships support outstanding international students who are making a difference through community involvement, excelling academically, and seeking to actively contribute to intercultural exchange and learning during their time at the university. ISSS provides advising and support for the nearly 3,000 international students and 300+ international scholars the U welcomes from over 100 different countries, as well as members of the campus community working with international populations.
OGE Global Development Fund
Support key global initiatives at the University of Utah.
Hinckley Global Internship Fund
Support the Hinckley Global Internship program by supporting students to complete life-changing global internships that provide cultural immersion, global competency and career development opportunities. The Hinckley Institute sends students to various nonprofits, businesses, governments, think tanks, and NGOs in more than 35 countries.
Scholar Rescue Fund
Support fellowships hosted at the U for established professors, researchers and scholars whose lives or careers are at risk in their home countries. Fellowships are matched by the Institute of International Education, and allow the scholar to pursue his or her work in a safe, supportive environment.
Learning Abroad Scholarships
Support scholarships for students interested in deepening their understanding of the broader global community through participation in Learning Abroad programs. Learning Abroad seeks to positively impact students, the campus, and the community by fostering connections between the University and the world through global education experiences.
Medical Laboratory Science International Visitors Fund
This fund supports hosting Medical Laboratory Scientists from Komfo-Anokye Teaching Hospital, Kumasi, Ghana, while they study and observe in the Medical Laboratory Science Program at the University of Utah and in their affiliated clinical laboratories. The program is designed to raise awareness of the importance of laboratory testing in effective medical diagnosis and to help the awardees access emerging technologies in the clinical laboratory.
