Bennion Center

Thursday, February 21 | Crimson View | 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Taste of Waste is an educational dinner and dialogue hosted by the Bennion Center Student Board to showcase the complex issue American's have with food waste. The food served this evening will consist of rescued food from the Salt Lake area (also called recovered food or salvaged food--the practice of gleaning edible and safe-to-eat food that would otherwise go to waste from places such as restaurants, grocery stores, produce markets, or dining facilities). There will be a speaker from a prominent local food rescue organization there to discuss our particular food waste problem in Utah and we can fight the issue of hunger in our own communities.
