Biological Sciences General Development Fund To support the School of Biological Sciences, its programs, research and students who benefit from the systematic study and research of life--from mitochondria to gene editing; plants to forest ecologies; the inner workings of poisonous wood rats to synthetic insect-bacterial symbiosis??? to name a few. Twelve general areas of bio research from behavior & neuro to co-evolutionary and from ecology/conservation to genetics/ genomics. |

K. Gordon Lark Endowed Professorship Gordon Lark is considered the father of the School of Biological Sciences. In 1970 he consolidated the department while expanding research in micro-/cell biology. A master teacher, administrator and researcher, his hiring of 27 new faculty members included, most notably, Mario Capecchi, Utah's Nobel laureate. Currently all donations are matched dollar-for-dollar up to $250,000. |
