Mindfulness and Meditation at 525 Plaza Salt Lake

Registration price is for mom and one support person. Partners are encouraged to attend all classes offered!

This mini-series is designed to supplement a childbirth class or for families who have already experienced birth.  In this three week session, participants will learn the differences between mindfulness and meditation techniques, breath specific to relaxation, and comfort techniques that can be used in conjunction with visualization/meditation/guided imagery.  Regardless of a person’s desire to have or avoid medication, or use of other medical interventions, these techniques can be utilized to decrease anxiety and provide skills to the birthing family. 

A labor support person is strongly encouraged, however should someone not have a designated person, they will still benefit from the skills and information.

A traditional birth class such as a Prepared Childbirth series or a Super Saturday should be scheduled in addition to this class.  Participants who have experienced birth previously do not need to take additional classes.
