School of Medicine
School of Medicine Alumni Scholarship Fund
With the high cost of training to become a physician, the School of Medicine aims to provide financial support to its medical students. Alumni have been a large part of that support. During the 2020 school year $1.35 million was given from endowed funds, Five for Five Funds and this fund to assist 380 of the 500 medical students with scholarship dollars. This expendable fund typically provides approximately thirty $5,000 scholarships a year.
School of Medicine Alumni Gift Fund
This School of Medicine Alumni Association Fund is used to support medical student programming, student scholarships, and alumni outreach. It provided start-up funding for the Student Emergency Fund and the Wellness Program. It also funds special requests from the Dean of the School of Medicine, finances speakers for CME and other training, and helps cover housing costs for the Rural Utah Underserved Training Experience for students doing rotations in rural communities around the state.
School of Medicine Student Emergency Fund
The Alumni Student Emergency Fund was established by the School of Medicine Alumni Association to financially assist University of Utah medical students who are experiencing an acute hardship due to a significant life event or emergency.
Medical Student Fund
This fund is established for use by the University of Utah Medical School Students. The funds will be allocated to important events which include: the medical student match day, match day dinner, rewards ceremony, deans reception, as well as commencement.
Global Health
The University of Utah Global Health programs provide mutually beneficial opportunities for both U of U and partner site professionals in over 35 programs throughout the world. The five major partner sites are: Ghana, Kenya, China, India, and Peru. Funding is used to support the service, education and research programs with partner sites.

Department of Neurology Gift Fund
The Department of Neurology at the University of Utah is committed to ending neurological disease through specialized patient care, innovative research, and the education of tomorrow's physicians. Medical Laboratory Science International Visitors Fund
This fund supports hosting Medical Laboratory Scientists from Komfo-Anokye Teaching Hospital, Kumasi, Ghana, while they study and observe in the Medical Laboratory Science Program at the University of Utah and in their affiliated clinical laboratories. The program is designed to raise awareness of the importance of laboratory testing in effective medical diagnosis and to help the awardees access emerging technologies in the clinical laboratory.
School of Medicine
The University of Utah School of Medicine combines excellence in teaching, research, and clinical expertise to train tomorrow's physicians, physician assistants, medical technologists and health care researchers for the rapidly changing world of medicine. With a faculty of more than 1,000 physicians and researchers and 22 clinical and basic science departments, the School of Medicine trains the majority of Utah physicians and researchers in Utah.

Educational Resource Development Council
Since 1991, the Educational Resource Development Council (ERDC) has worked to educate and inform council members about the latest advances and techniques in fields of health as they relate to University of Utah Health, as well as an an opportunity to invest our time and financial support annually to advance education, medical technology, and health care support programs. We welcome women who share the vision of our mission and are prepared to give generously in accordance with our overall goals.
Mountain West Parkinson Initiative
The Mountain West Parkinson Initiative, based in Salt Lake City, is committed to passionately supporting people impacted by Parkinson Disease by cultivating community, advocating wellness, enriching education, and strengthening outreach.
Population Health Sciences Gift Fund
Population Health Sciences (PHS) at the University of Utah drives health care transformation and aims to be a hub for education, investigation, and expertise in health services, cost, quality, outcomes, and health delivery systems research. The department provides methodological expertise and infrastructure that advances capacity for population health scientists to pursue impact-driven research and allow clinical professionals to provide better patient and population-oriented care.
Humanitas MD Scholarship Fund
Humanitas MD Scholars are medical students who value inclusivity and equity within healthcare, and whose inclusion in the medical school reflects the evolving needs of medically underserved populations. Research studies have proven that inclusion of individuals with a wide range of backgrounds, identities, and life experiences improves educational outcomes in medical students' ability to address health disparities, advance science, and serve the needs of the public.
NARI - Native American Research Internship
